Who Can Participate?

Beneficiaries are individual or associated farmers from Campania, as defined by Article 2135 of the Civil Code. Those operating exclusively in forestry or aquaculture are excluded. An advantage? Young farmers (who have been established for less than 5 years) and investments related to emission reduction are eligible for an increased rate of support.

Action A – Climate Change Mitigation

  • Farm Composting: Facilities and machinery to transform agricultural waste into compost by improving soil carbon sequestration capacity.
  • Renewable energy: Facilities for biogas, biomethane or solar/wind energy, provided they are proportionate to the needs of the farm.
  • Innovative machinery: Equipment for slurry distribution using low-emission techniques (e.g. surface injection or umbilical systems).

Action B – Protection of Natural Resources

  • Predictive systems: Weather stations and sensors to optimise plant protection treatments.
  • Biological filters: Biobeds to treat water contaminated by pesticides.
  • Precision agriculture: Fertiliser spreaders and GPS systems to reduce waste and environmental impact.

Funding Details Call for Proposals SRD02: How much can you get?

The total budget is EUR 10 million, with a maximum contribution of EUR 1.5 million per beneficiary over the entire period 2023-2027. Support is provided as a capital grant (non-repayable fund), with variable rates:

  • 65% basic: For all eligible projects.
  • 75%: For young farmers (with SPP requirements par. 4.1.5).
  • 80%: For investments related to emission reduction.

Eligible Expenditure

  • Purchase of innovative machinery and equipment (excluding diesel/petrol tractors).
  • Construction or improvement of renewable energy or composting facilities.
  • Intangible investments such as software or licences.

How to Apply SRD02: Deadlines and Procedures

The application for support must be submitted telematically on the AGEA-SIAN portal by 16:00 on 9 May 2025. The opening date will be communicated by a notice on the Campania Region website.
